Scheduling Policy

Clear Expectations for a Smooth Notarization Experience

All Services By Appointment Only

American Notary Services, LLC operates exclusively by appointment to ensure we provide dedicated, professional service to each client.

Appointment Requirements

  • Advance Booking Required: All notarization services must be scheduled in advance. Walk-ins are not available.

  • Minimum Notice: Please schedule at least 24 hours in advance when possible. Same-day appointments may be available based on notary availability.

  • Confirmation Required: All appointments must be confirmed via phone or email before the notary travels to your location.

  • Document Review: Please provide details about your documents when scheduling so we can ensure proper preparation and compliance.

Cancellation Policy

  • 24-Hour Notice: Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.

  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may result in a cancellation fee to cover travel time and scheduling costs.

  • No-Show Policy: Failure to be present at the scheduled appointment time without prior notice will result in a full service charge.

Travel & Service Area

  • Primary Service Area: Utah County and Salt Lake County. Travel fees may apply for locations outside standard service zones.

  • Travel Time: Please allow adequate time for the notary to travel to your location. Appointments are scheduled with built-in travel buffers.

  • Travel Fees: Mobile service includes a base travel fee. Additional fees may apply for distant locations or after-hours service.

  • Location Changes: If your appointment location changes, please notify us immediately. Changes may affect scheduling and travel fees.

Payment Policy

  • Payment at Time of Service: Payment is due at the completion of most notarization services. We accept cash or credit card.

  • Prepayment Required for Field & Rental Inspections: Field inspections and rental inspections require payment prior to service. Payment must be received before the appointment is scheduled.

  • Accepted Payment Methods: Cash or credit card only.

  • Receipts Provided: A receipt will be provided upon request for all services rendered.

Client Responsibilities

  • Valid ID Required: All signers must present a current, government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, state ID, or military ID).

  • Documents Ready: Have all documents prepared and ready for signing. Unsigned documents must not be pre-filled with signatures.

  • All Parties Present: All individuals required to sign must be present at the appointment time. The notary cannot proceed if any signer is absent.

  • Mental Capacity: All signers must be of sound mind, acting willingly, and fully aware of what they are signing.

  • Appropriate Location: Provide a safe, well-lit, and distraction-free environment for the notarization to take place.

  • Payment Ready: Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash or credit card.

Rescheduling Appointments

  • Flexible Rescheduling: We understand plans change. Reschedule your appointment at no extra charge with at least 24 hours notice.

  • Contact Us Promptly: Call (801) 462-0388 as soon as you know you need to reschedule.

  • Subject to Availability: Rescheduled appointments are subject to notary availability and may not always be on your preferred date/time.

Weather & Emergency Situations

  • Severe Weather: In the event of hazardous weather conditions (heavy snow, ice storms, etc.), we may need to reschedule your appointment for safety reasons.

  • We'll Notify You: If we need to reschedule due to weather or emergencies, we will contact you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative time.

  • No Cancellation Fees: Weather-related or emergency cancellations by either party will not incur any fees.
